  • Robert McDowell
    Director

    Robert has an incredibly strong life-long background in finance and property and is an experienced and astute commercial manager.

    His early career was in retail banking where over 13 years, he gained invaluable experience of finance in the property and construction sectors. From there Robert spent the next 15 years as the Director of residential development companies, responsible for development appraisals, land acquisition, planning, contractor management and new house sales.

    The combination of people skills gained from relationship management in banking and knowledge of property through the provision of new housing provides a solid foundation for his current role in Rea Estates.

    Robert is the holder of an MBA in International Business. He has been a Non Executive Director of a Housing Association for the last six years, providing him with additional experience of social housing and the challenges facing the sector.

    Robert says:

  • Gillian McDowell
    Director

    Gillian has an impressive work ethic that is helping Rea Estates move from strength to strength. During a 20-year career with the Halifax, where she worked as a sales manager throughout Belfast, Gillian obtained qualifications in financial planning and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP).

    She established Home to Home Lettings, Rea Estates' sister company, after identifying a gap in the market for top-quality, professional estate agency services with a personal touch. A member of ARLA, Gillian has a reputation for delivering the highest levels of care and support to all her clients.

    Gillian says:

    I pride myself in providing a highly professional, yet personal and individual service to clients. The care of the landlords property, the service I provide and the relationship with landlords and tenants is always my top priority.

  • Johnny Rea
    (MNAEA, MARLA) Head of Sales and Lettings

    A team member since 2001, Johnny is Rea Estates' sales manager. His remit includes generating new business, maintaining existing links with clients and negotiating sales and lettings from initial instruction to final completion. In addition to being a member of NAEA and ARLA, Johnny holds professional accreditation from the Association of Professional Inventory Providers.

  • Jamie Macdonald
    (MARLA) Head of Property Management

    Jamie joined Rea estates in 2007 and fulfilled a number of roles within the company before being appointed Manager in 2009. He has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation, which includes communicating with property owners and tenants, ensuring team members are motivated and focused, and meeting the highest standards of service at all times. He also heads up Business Development within the company.

    The holder of a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Psychology, Jamie is also a professionally qualified member of ARLA.

    Jamie has a passion for developing working partnerships with the social housing sector and housing charities to promote the private rented sector as a viable option for vulnerable tenants.

    Jamie says:

  • Jenna Cosgrove
    Lettings Negotiator

    Jenna has been part of the Rea Estates family since 2014. She has worked in several roles since she joined our business, giving her a thorough understanding of the needs of both landlords and tenants.

    As Lettings Negotiator, she is responsible for helping landlords let their properties efficiently; through marketing and promotion, accompanied viewings and sourcing the right tenant for the right property.

    Jenna is passionate about helping tenants find their ideal home. Her role also sees her generating new business and maximising existing business opportunities with our landlord clients.

    Jenna says:

  • Natasha McFarlane
    Property Management Administrator

    Natasha is Rea Estates Receptionist and Housing Administrator. In her role she handles the numerous enquiries from landlords and tenants, purchasers and vendors, as well as organising property inspections and dealing with maintenance issues.

    With a foundation degree in creative multimedia, Level 3 Business Administration NVQ, and extensive experience in customer service, Natasha has a natural flair for effective, efficient communication.

    Natasha says:

    I ensure that everyone who comes in to the office will be greeted in a friendly manner and their query dealt with in a timely and efficient way.

  • Lorraine Turner
    Financial Controller

    A key member of the Rea Estates team for almost 10 years, Lorraine is our financial controller.

    She oversees management accounts and VAT submissions but most importantly Lorraine provides landlords with regular financial reports and arranges payment of rents.

    Her previous experience includes advisory roles with banks and accountancy firms and training clients in the use of Sage accounting.

    Lorraine says:

    My priority is to ensure that our landords and contractors are all paid on time.

  • Julie Smith
    Lettings Administrator

    Julie works in partnership with landlords and tenants to ensure that tenancies run as smoothly as possible. Liaising with both parties on the many issues arising daily, she undertakes reference checks and prepares tenancy agreements.

    Her main focus is overseeing rent collection. Early detection of payment issues is a priority as it helps to safe guard the landlords' investments at the same time as caring for the tenants' needs, as timely recognition of financial difficulties can help to avoid stress for all concerned.

    Julie works closely with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive assisting tenants with claims and helping with any Housing Benefit queries they may have.

    Julie joined Rea Estates after extensive experience in the banking and retail sector.

    Julie says:

    I believe that proving an excellent service to both our landlords and tenants is key to the growth within the Rea Estates.  I treat people the way I like to be treated and deal with all enquiries efficiently
